05 Feb 08 ALEX RIOS AVOIDS ARBITRATION

Alex Rios who had 24 Home Runs and 85 RBI avoided the arbitration by accepting an offer of 4.835 million $ for one year with the Toronto Blue Jays . He was the last Jays player to be eligible to arbitration. The Toronto Blue Jays never went to this stage since the arrival of J.P. Ricciardi as general manager following the season 2001.

Rios, which will touch a bonus with the signature of 3,5 million $, claimed at the beginning 5.65 million $ and Blue Jays offered him 4.535 million $ . He will receive 15 000 $ more if he gets to the all-star game.

Here is a funny video of Alex Rios getting strike out and breaking the bat on his knee. HaHa
